This piece is the third of the three narrative canvases (L'amore della madre, Not Yet) which build the story individually and together, each one offering unique insights into the narrative.  Insights into the history of this piece come in the form of the 'flowers' which pick up and marry the impasto underlayers.  The 'Black Swan' speaks of an unforeseen event that had repercussions that reverberated thenceforth as it appears to thrust itself forward from the swirling blue upon which it rests.  Golden 'aces' are 'windows' through which glimpses back support the original composition and title.
